About the Glamorgan Heritage Coast area

The area is well connected and has many nearby attractions including: walking, bird watching, mountain biking, art galleries, museums as well as the National Parks on the Gower Peninsula and Brecon Beacons.

Excellent beaches of Southerndown and Ogmore are only 10 minutes away which are popular with surfers, bathers or those who just want to relax!

Nash Point is 10 minutes walk from the cottages. It has two famous lighthouses (one disused) that warned ships of the dangerous sand banks in the Bristol Channel.

The area has a rich and ancient history from medieval to more recent times.

The Heritage Coastline has impressive cliffs made from Jurassic Limestone which are rich in fossils. It is also one of the few places in the UK where Cornish Choughs have started nesting again after a long absence.

For golfers there are several first class courses nearby.

Visit Nash Point at the end of the day and you will be guaranteed a spectacular sunset

Directions

When you get to the village of Marcross you will see the Lighthouse Pub on the crossroads.

Opposite the pub is a ruined barn with a sign to Nash Point. Go down this lane for about 50 yards and you will see Village Farm House over the third small bridge over the stream on the right hand side.

Cross this third bridge and the cottages are on your left.
